I had a long and successful career in the marketing industry before deciding to quit, in my mid 40’s, to study to become a therapist. I received an LCSW, following this up by post-graduate training in psychodynamic and humanistic therapy, and have now been a therapist in private practice for more than 30 years. I’ve been divorced and know the pain of it. I’ve been in a wonderful long-term marriage that ended only with the death of my spouse. I’ve experienced loss, and encroaching age. I’ve taught other therapists in a psychoanalytic institute and worked in a shelter for battered women. My therapy service is also informed by living in foreign countries, and by a passionate interest in literature, music, and my own work as a sculptor.
